The Eyes Have It!

God, I LOVE this picture!

It may well be one of the best I've ever taken, and I can't even take real credit for it. It was a fluke...a mistake....one overexposure in a batch of perfectly turned out portraits. What happened to this one is a mystery....my camera isn't talking.

I love this happy accident.

Happy Anniversary to me!

It's official. I've been at my new job one whole year!

I'm happy to report that I like it just as much today as I did when I first started. I still feel blessed. The best part of the job, though, is the people in this picture. My co-workers....there isn't a single person on my team that I don't like.

Getting up to go to work every day is a pleasure. It's been a good year.

Rob just turned 40.

It would be more amusing if I hadn't already turned 40 three years ago.

Anyway, my SIL called me for ideas to put in his "over the hill" basket. We sure did have a good time laughing it up while we thought of things. Bengay, Polygrip, ace bandages, a cane, corn bandages, Rogaine, brochures on retirement homes and prostate exams, cans of Ensure, and a package of Depends.

Then there was a brief lull in the hilarity, and SIL says, "It would be funnier if we didn't actually use some of this stuff."

Sigh. I hear ya.
